Research Initiative on Social Entrepreneurship (RISE)

RISE was founded in 2002 and operates out of Columbia Business School with a four person staff, ten person board, and numerous student researchers. The RISE mission is to produce current research and analysis of social entrepreneurship that describes and guides the discipline. RISE focuses on three areas of study: 1) the market of early private equity investment for social ventures, 2) the development of metrics for social impact and 3) leadership practices.
