Position Opening for Program Director, Social EntrepreneurshipThe Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University works to connect the capacities of the university and community to address inequalities in our society and communities; create, share, and apply knowledge for the public good; and educate and prepare students for lives of effective action. The Swearer Center is expanding its work in social entrepreneurship in order to develop additional ways and tools to address urgent social challenges and help Brown students gain skills and knowledge particularly in areas such as strategy, change, and management. This position will have responsibility for a number of inter-connected sets of work: 1) building community collaborations and relationships; 2) working with departments and faculty to develop and implement courses on social entrepreneurship; 3) developing and implementing a range of programs such as student team projects, alumni engagement and mentoring, and seminars and training workshops for students and community members; and 4) collaborating with Swearer Center staff on Center-wide strategy and initiatives, and managing grant requirements.
