University of the Pacific: Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship

Founded in 2006, The Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship at the University of the Pacific works to connect future social entrepreneurs with organizations, resources, and training to help them achieve their goals.

The Center’s Internship Incubator program works with students and organizations to offer internships in a variety of fields all over the world, with a universal focus in social entrepreneurship. The Center also works closely with faculty and staff in the School of International Studies and is currently helping create a multi-course certificate program in Social Entrepreneurship at the University of the Pacific.

The Center’s student arm, the Pacific Council of University Social Entrepreneurs, has also been involved in numerous events on and off campus, including bringing several notable social entrepreneurs to speak on campus as well as creating a step-by-step guide for organizations seeking 501(c)(3) non-profit status in the United States.

The GCSE looks forward to growing in scope and scale in the future, and networking successfully with other programs, organizations, and centers both in the United States and abroad.
